2009 CNY snacks preparation

This is my 1st time doing CNY snacks! After 27years, I do CNY snacks for my mom... hahaha...

Ah dear and I went Giant to buy "popiah skin", seaweed, crab sticks on Monday. We put it in the fridge and prepare for tomolo.






On Tuesday nite, we start prepare... we open the seaweed pack and paste onto "popiah skin"...



Then we cut into small pieces...put to aside and proceed to prepare next snacks.



Crab sticks...



Cut into slices...Put to aside...



Now we have to heat up the oil and start frying it...



Ah dear in action...



This is how it looks like...this is our 1st snacks produced.
It call "Golden Coins All Over The House" (金币满屋)



Then crab sticks slices... it was too hard to fried it, ah dear was took charge of it...
This snacks call "Gold Slices Into Mouth" (金丝入口)

I went to proceed prepare 3rd dish...


Popiah skin alone... roll it up and waiting to be cut into smaller size.



Cut into mouthful sizes...
When 2nd snacks were done...


Here come the popiah skin...

Although this snacks was only popiah skin, it needed icing sugar to coat on it.


It become like this...
3rd snacks called "Winter Gold" (冬之黄金)


After the snacks were cold... we need to pack it to avoid "leak wind"...



We bought 3pcs of containers from Giant.



This is how it looks like after being packed...so pro leh?




This is our effort...all 3 snacks were completed in ~3hours of frying + ~1hour of preparation...
Both of us were tired to death...after cleaniing was done in the kitchen and also our ownselves, we were ZZZZzZzzZZzz...within 2min after the lights off... hahaha!
I hope my family get to try it...also ah dear's family...
We are happy family!!!
