Restaurant Purple Elephant, Melaka

Suddenly craving for some thai food. But where can find thai food in melaka leh? 1st thing come into my mind - Restaurant Purple Elephant. Located in Melaka Raya, just behind the famous PURE BAR.

On last saturday, went there for dinner together with ah dear (as usual la) and Mei Yen (she is in town for some serious matters ;o)

Damn, driving a manual car to town isn't easy if you caught in a jam near Stadhuy. Why jam? is usual in melaka at this place, tourist spot, many cars slowing down here.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, wun affect our good mood. Happily we find our parking. Went into the shop.

We chosen our place to sit, look at the menu, i dunno how to order mah... most of the items are in set one. There are few menus available la, so we took quite a long time to decide wat to eat.



Ah dear is enjoying chit-chatting while waiting for food.

In a thai restaurant, u dun order tom yum, u must be crazy. Of cos i ordered la...hahhaha. Another authentic thai food is the green curry...oooooh...i tell u...green curry is the best! The basil leaves makes the whole green curry come to alive.

We ordered Green curry, tom yum, and steam fish in thai sauce. Would like to have the water chestnuts dessert but unfortunately they aren't serving tat day.

This green curry gravy is sweet, coconut fragrant and some secret thai spice recipe. It makes u feel like ordering the additional bowl of rice. If i were allow too...i can...hahahha. This Green curry is GOOD!



Food presentation: Super-spicy-n-burn-ur-stomach Seafood Tom Yum.

This seafood tom yum seriously can burn ur stomach. After i take a few sip, my stomach is burning. But it has the magic to make u desire more, u keep drinking and drinking. Then my sweat dripping like the losen tap ma... My hair was wet! Juz i i never dry it after bath. Soli la...only me is like tat. I love spicy, but i sweat, this is the after effect la. This tomyum (clear) is GOOD!

This fish is not nice cos the fish is not fresh enuff, ah dear was complaining the weird taste abt the sauce, but i think the sauce is ok, juz the fish itself not fresh. Mebbe she can't took the garlic smells. Well, this is not recommended la... no good at all.

I was expecting thai fragrant rice to be serve but i dun find the rice is fragrant and thai la... thai fragrant rice suppose to be bouncy and smells good one. Anyway, as long as it is not the cheap-plak rice, is ok liao. Hahahaha...wat to expect sumore?

Mei Yen was so full, it reaches her chest...might overflow...hahaha

We chek out our bills, total damage is RM60+. 3 authentic thai dishes and many many of used tissue to wipe my sweat and also to stop my nose dripping too... I think...ok la... but not everyday la.
