My KK & Labuan Trip - Day 3

28/06/2008

My Day 3 in KK. As usual, I woke up 1st but then, I am the last to use the toilet... cos everyone were awake in the same time. Ah dear call all of us to chk out mt. KK. It appear just infront of us when we open up the window.

This is our room la... so cold...i wear sock to bed leh!

Ladies & Gentlement! Tada....this is Mt. KK la...

Ah dear went outside to brush teeth, she say the brush teeth infront of mt. KK is an great experience worrrr... so haolian horrr?!

After all of us done with the toilet business, we went down to the hotel restaurant, have our breakfast while enjoying the clear view of Mt. KK. It's magnificient view. The photo is real... not cut and paste one...ahhahaha...

We had our breakfast, expensive one...living standard here is expensive, normal fried noodle cost us RM5/plate. This is consider normal price liao...if i were the hotel owner, i will surely charge higher one...hahahahah Oh yeah, the hotel we stayed called Kinabalu Rose Cabin.

After our breakfast, we rush nearer to mt. KK. Ah yaw said can see the mt.KK peak clearly! So, we quickly drive to another gate entrance of Mt. KK, Timpohon gate.

Manatau we are not allow to go further but to stay at the gate. Ah yaw said last time can go deeper unfortunately now can't liao. No choice but to stay at the gate look around, survey for the pricing and other stuff...I determine to conquer mt. KK next year there after saw so many young chicks wearing shorts enter the gate...make my fire burning man!

This uncle lagi best, he backpack with a shorts walking down the stairs, ah yaw said this kind of stairs remain few KM, up n down, then follow by rocky way...so sanfu one leh.

Look at the the distance btw gate and peak, sumore need to stay one nite at 3rd quarter of road. And it took 6hours to walk...i nearly fainted and give up. But I am so determine now. I wanna conquer the mountain!

We left timpohon and drive down back to KK town. Had our yummy yummy Yee Wat/Yee Kiao. We ordered 2 different flavour, soup base and tomyum base. The fish noodle, fish meat, fish skin, fish etc...so fresh so Q, I can feel the fish is still alive, bouncing up and down inside my mouth!

Look at them...so tasty look!

After we fill up our "tanki", we headed to "philipine pasar", ah yaw said. But the pasar named Pasar Ikan Masin, it's near the bus station, near Promenade hotel, just along the sea.

Behind that green green part it's the Sutera Habour Hotel. FYI, Sutera Habour manage the Mt. KK. Accomodations, mountain climbing, need to go thru them.

Back to the pasar, we bought our souveniours here. In here, you can get all sorts of salted fish, sharks fin, sea cucumber, anchovies, scallop, hae bee...etc... Anything & Everything!

To me, I'm a idiot in these things, so, i just leave it to ah yaw, he choose the best then I like, i tumpang... After we chosen our things, we "attack" the seller for the price... We tried our best to reduce the total to our satisfactory price. Hahahaha...

Me dunno how to choose, so sit there and wait everything is done then only shout for discount....good eh?!

Oh Yeah! they even sell sea horse. According to the seller, sea horse can make men become real MEN. Kuat-kuat mali and hari-hari mau! Geng boh?

Another tourist spot in KK town, not to be missed. The highest building in Sabah - Yayasan Sabah. They contribute a lot in education in Sabah. Nice building, during sunset, the whole building become golden colour, so damn nice.

Inside Yayasan Sabah building, they have revolving restaurant for fine dine...so romantic! If you so happen to romantic in Sabah, u can try call the number for reservation. I am sure, the view must be incredible beautiful cos it's just beside the sea.

We chase for the sunset near salut (near the port). Manage to capture nice sunset photos.

Seafood dinner again. If u r in Sabah, dun eat seafood eat wat worrrr? This time, we try another restaurant, it located further in compare to salut (where I had my 1st day dinner), called Gayang. We are so adventurous to try new thing...hahahah...tat's y we choose a different restaurant today.

Everything here are fresh, cos they still swimming in the aquarium...hahaha...Too bad we got no budget for lobster.

We ordered a "sek pan" head, so damn big! Huge!

We are so worried cos the place look like meant for tourist as so many tour bus stops here. We worried our "neck will be sliced"... Then i told myself, dun coount so much if come for holiday! Go for it one time kau kau one!

After ordered, we choose our seat and the place look similar to klang or kuala selangor seafood restaurant. Floating restaurant... While waiting of cos we snap a bit la...

So kan-cheong yet happy for another round of seafood dinner!

Look at wat have we ordered...
  1. Steam Prawn (1/2kg)
  2. Steam Crab & Cheese Crab - 2type flavour (1kg)
  3. Fish head - sek pan (at least 2kg+)
  4. Scallop (1kg)
  5. Siham (1kg)
  6. Dong feng shell (1kg)
  7. Sabah Vege

Look at ah dear's face, reaction, so enjoy, so satisfied... Starting tat time, everyone eat so gluctantly...then midway, all tend to be slow down...turn into slow-mo...cos starting to feel full liao...cos too many food an too full dy. Overall, all of us think the prawn was the best cos its fresh and sweet. We are so glad as the dishes din disappoint us. This dinner was better than salut one!

Guess how much in the end? Only RM200!!! So cheap! Only in Sabah, only in Gayang! Good food, good view, good ambient @ reasonable price!

Not forgetting, we met a food critics in the restaurant and he commented on the fish head. Click the video and watch wat he say abt.
